The class is a structured lesson focusing on both gross motor and socialization skills. Students will start the lesson with a warm-up using manipulative props and end with a game incorporating music and dancing. In between will be exercises on the gymnastics equipment: bars, beams, trampolines, springboards, and a multitude of mats. Children will learn to jump, balance, and roll while practicing taking turns and following a circuit.
Three levels of instruction are offered. Levels correspond to both ability and age. Children progress from basic movements to more advanced gymnastics skills through structured lessons. Students will start the lesson with a warm-up using manipulative props and end with a game incorporating music and dancing. will be given a Star Sheet to track their progress through the program, and will receive a ribbon every other month during Star Weeks.
This program is designed for students who have been identified in our preschool program as interested in and capable of working in a focused manner towards competitive gymnastics. Classes range in length from 1 - 2 hours, and participation is by invitation only. If interested please ask for an evaluation.
These girls gymnastics classes are divided into four levels Beginner
(Red) and Advanced Beginner (Orange), Intermediate (Yellow) and Advanced
Intermediate (Green). Red and Orange classes meet for one hour, Yellow
and Green classes for 1 ½ hours. Instruction is given on Vault, Bars,
Beam, Floor Exercise, Tumbl Trak, and Trampoline.
Students participate in a motivational program to progress through the
four levels of instruction. The girls are assessed every other month,
and given a belt colored corresponding to their level. Each student’s
progress is noted on a Star Sheet. Stars are earned for mastered skills,
and then can be sewn onto the child’s belt. Yellow and Green gymnasts,
in addition to earning stars, also perform routines and receive medals
for their accomplishments.
These boys gymnastics classes are divided into two levels Beginner
(Red) and Intermediate (Purple). Red classes meet for one hour, and
Purple classes for 1 ½ hours. Instruction is given on Vault, High Bar,
Parallel Bars, Pommel Horse, Rings, Floor Exercise, Tumbl Trak, and
Trampoline.

and given wrist bands colored corresponding to their level. Each student’s
progress is noted on a Star Sheet. Stars are earned for mastered skills,
and then can be sewn onto the child’s wrist bands.
This class combines flexibility and strength training with instruction on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, Tumbl Trak and Trampoline. Beginner through advanced levels are welcome.
This class combines flexibility and strength training with instruction on tumbling and apparatus skills. The class structure is a combination of instructor-led exercises and personal exploration on the gymnastics equipment. Beginner through advanced levels are welcome.
Make-ups are offered to give students the time back in the gym that they missed due to absences. Make-up classes are the same length as the child’s regular class, and are multi-leveled. Make-ups must be scheduled through the office within 30 days of the absence. Once scheduled, make-up classes cannot be re-scheduled for any reason. During the school year from September through June, families will be allowed 10 make-ups per child. Students must be currently enrolled to attend a make-up class.
