Katie began coaching at Gold Star in the winter of 2017, but has been part of the GSG family since 2007.  She was identified from the beginning as having a talent in the sport and was placed immediately on our fast track to competitive teams.  She moved from our PreJO classes through the JO or Junior Olympic training groups to compete compulsories at Level 4 and 5.  In 2016, Katie joined our Xcel team, and in her first year won Bronze for All-Around at Regionals.  She has now begun choreographing floor routines for her XCel teammates.  As a teacher, she fit into the GSG staff effortlessly, coaching as she had been taught throughout the years – with an endless supply of love, enthusiasm, and knowledge.  She adds to this base her effervescent smile and the result is happy, successful students.
