Ryan began coaching at Gold Star in the fall of 2004. He has been a member of the GSG award-winning All-Star Cheer Teams since 2002, and was one of the original members of Gold Star’s first Hip Hop team in 2003. Ryan started dancing when he was twelve, and currently he works with our Cheer and Hip Hop teams. While in college he danced and choreographed for three other hip-hop crews, a Filipino Dance group, and in 2009 was captain of the San Francisco State Cheer Team. Ryan was a staff member for JAMZ Cheer & Dance Company, and hosted family events around the Bay Area as a Talent with Radio Disney. He has his U.S. All-Star Federation Level 4 Certification for Cheer Teams, US All Star Federation Dance Certificates, First Aid and CPR certifications, Heads Up Concussion Training, and certified with the Positive Coaching Alliance. Not only is Ryan unbelievably talented, he is outstanding with children. He worked at a local day care when he was fourteen, and is now the Assistant Coach for the Mountain View High School Cheer team. He has been a natural fit at Gold Star from the beginning with students throughout our programs naturally gravitating to Ryan’s loud and goofy manner.
