Maty began coaching at Gold Star in the summer of 2026, although he has always been involved in athletics.  He concentrated on wrestling in high school, but had competed in swimming, volleyball, and soccer. Maty babysits extensively for his family friends and has a twin brother.  Maybe having this twin power explains his tolerance for extreme temperatures because Maty loves both the beach and the snow!

Mika began coaching at Gold Star in the summer of 2026, but started as a MiniStar at age 4 and then rose through all of our girls recreational levels.  She is CPR and First Aid certified and has worked as a counselor in training at an art summer camp. However Mika’s real love is ballet which she has been training since she was 6.  She has so far danced her way around 3 continents and is excited about pirouetting over many more!
