Paya joined the Gold Star staff in May 2019 but has been a part of the Gold Star Family since she was born. She is the daughter of the Head Coach of our Cheer Program (CC) and has been a member of our competitive All-Star teams since she was TWO years old!  Paya is certified in CPR, First Aid, and USA Gymnastics Safety.  Her nickname arose from rhyming her given name Mariah with Papaya, which is funny since Paya doesn’t like papayas.
